What does a church website need?
The four answers every visitor arrives with: when are services, where are you, what should I expect and what do you believe. Everything else, calendars, sermons, giving, ministries, builds on those. A beautiful site missing the service time has failed at its one job.
Can volunteers maintain a church website?
Yes, if it is built for that from the start: ordinary WordPress components, no page-builder lock-in, no custom code a future volunteer cannot touch and a structure where adding a post or updating a time is a form, not a project. Christ the Savior has run exactly this way since handoff.
How much does a church website cost?
It moves on how much content exists already, whether the parish has photography and a crest or needs them created and whether anyone ongoing is needed at all. Building for volunteer handoff costs more care up front and removes the monthly bill entirely, which for a mission congregation is usually the right trade.
