Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect what you send us through our forms, plus standard analytics about how the site is used. We use it to respond to you and to make the site better. We do not sell it, rent it or hand it to advertisers, because there are no advertisers here.

What we collect

If you fill out a form, we receive what you type: typically your name, email address, phone number, business name, website address and your message. If you call or text the number on this site, we receive your number and any voicemail or message you leave.

Like most websites, this site also uses Google Analytics, which collects information about your visit: the pages you view, the rough location of your device, your browser and device type and how you arrived here. This reaches us as aggregate reporting, not as a file about you.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, as part of running and securing the site.

What we do with it

We use form submissions and messages to respond to you and, if you become a client, to do the work you hire us for. We use analytics to understand which pages help people and which don’t. That is the whole list.

What we never do

We do not sell or rent your information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not send marketing email to addresses collected through this site without asking you first.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visits. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers an opt-out browser add-on if you would rather not be measured anywhere. The site works fine either way.

Services we rely on

This site runs on WP Engine hosting, uses WPForms for forms and Google Analytics for measurement, and our phone line is provided by Google Voice. If you become a client, invoices and payments run through Autobooks and its payment processors; card and bank details go to the processor directly and are never stored by us.

How long we keep it

Form submissions and correspondence are kept as long as they are useful for responding to you or serving you as a client, then deleted. Analytics data is retained on Google’s standard schedule.

Your choices

You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will handle it within a reasonable time. Nothing about your relationship with us changes if you ask.

Children

This site is for business owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new effective date. We will not quietly change what we do with information you already gave us.
